Lessen the Burden of Suicide

Here's a poem dedicated to those suffering from the loss of a loved one committing suicide. Please don't misunderstand the context. Suicide is a release from pain. It isn't a judgment of how much you loved them nor how much they appreciated your love. Some pain you're born with.

The pain is never ending

An unwanted partner all along

Overwhelming all the loved

Never chosen

Never wanted

Never never

We are running

Running away from the devil

Always one step away from

We all stumble

We all fall

Pray oh pray

That day… which will come

We can get back up and run

Run as fast… as fast… as fast as you can

Always one step away from

Never ending

Never ending despair

My love I didn't want to be caught

I'm sorry that the day I fell

I didn't ask for help

Run… run so hard again

Always one step away from

Never ending

Never ending despair

Hold my hand

As I take a rest

Your love could never save

Could never heal

The never ending pain and desperation

Born in me

Of my wounded heart

I was never broken

Never broken with you

I could not run fast enough

Fast enough from the never ending despair

Born in me
